The Sectarian Strand would like to introduce Miss Hajnal Ban [Hajnal is pronounced hi-nal].

Miss Ban, a 28 year old barrister and a Beaudesert Shire Councilor, will contest the National's preselection for the seat of Forde in December. The seat of Forde is presently held by the Liberal's Kay Elson who will be retiring next year.
The Sectarian Strand wishes Miss Ban the best of luck with the preselection and the election next year. She has demonstrated in her academic achievements and her work as a Councillor that she is intelligent, hardworking and self-starting. As Senator Barnaby Joyce has said : "People get caught in the trap of trying to treat her like a Barbie doll. She'll bite your head off," he said. "She's no fool. She's businesslike and very hard working. If people know her, they'll vote for her."
Miss Ban has the potential to attract many voters who would otherwise not vote Nationals and would bring a strong National Party voice to the Federal Parliament.
Yours Sincerely,
Mild Colonial Boy, Esq.
P.S. Due to popular demand here are some additional photographs of the fair Miss Ban (some with unfortunately rather obtrusive watermarks):
