A Political Satire Interlude

Monday, November 24, 2008

Dear Readers--

The Australian Broadcasting Corporation showed on Friday evening the first episode of The Thick of It. The Thick of It is a British political satire made in 2005 and can be described as a sort of a modern day "Yes Minister" with rather copious swearing. Frankly, it is better acted and scripted than the ABC's political satire The Hollowmen.

Please enjoy the first episode courtesy of You-tube. (WARNING: Contains frequent use of foul language and a Scottish accent)

I would be interested to watch it but the youtube version seems to lack audio signal, so there's no dialog.
